"In regards to learning perfect pitch: I think it's a great thing to work on, it can only improve one's musicianship. But ultimately it's not so important whether or not one has it. Knowing the name of a note is nothing compared to knowing WHAT TO DO with a note. I think relative pitch is infinitely more useful in making music."
